I\u2019ve already alluded to some of the musical works used as examples in the book (in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/andrew-may.com\/blog\/2022\/05\/more-electronic-music-research\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"733\" target=\"_blank\">this post<\/a> from last year) and there\u2019s a fuller \u201cplaylist\u201d in the back of the book \u2013 running in chronological order from Mozart\u2019s Dissonance Quartet and Beethoven\u2019s Battle Symphony to <em>Miss Anthropocene<\/em> by Grimes and <em>Djesse<\/em> vol. 3 by Jacob Collier.<\/p> <p>On a more self-indulgent note, I\u2019ve created another short playlist on YouTube of compositions I wrote myself while trying to get my head round some of the techniques discussed in the book \u2013 particularly algorithmic (i.e. computer-assisted) composition and electronic music production using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation).
